Why We Built This Site
North Carolina gives the public access to many court records, but Rutherford County records do not all live in one place. The Clerk of Superior Court keeps case files for Superior Court and District Court, including criminal, civil, traffic, divorce judgment, estate, and special proceeding records. The Register of Deeds handles marriage licenses, marriage certificates, birth and death certificates, real estate instruments, assumed names, military discharges, and notary records. The Sheriff's Office and Detention Center handle jail, arrest-release, warrant-service, and public-safety records. Pulling those access points together reduces wrong-office requests.

What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site. We have no connection to the North Carolina Judicial Branch, Rutherford County government, the Rutherford County Clerk of Superior Court, the Rutherford County Sheriff's Office, the Register of Deeds, NCDMV, NC DAC, or any federal court. There are real limits to what we can help with:
- We cannot file court paperwork, submit records requests, or contact a clerk on your behalf
- We cannot issue certified copies of court documents, marriage certificates, divorce judgments, or vital records
- We cannot give legal advice, choose forms, calculate deadlines, or explain how a specific case applies to you
- We cannot guarantee that every address, fee, phone number, app feature, or online search field remains current at the moment you use it
Only the issuing court or government office can provide an official certified copy with the proper seal or certification.
Search Partners
Some pages on this site include search boxes powered by third-party providers. Those providers set their own pricing, terms, privacy practices, and result systems. When one of those tools leads to a paid signup, this site may earn a referral fee. That revenue helps support the site, but it does not make a third-party result official. Official Rutherford County court records still come from eCourts, the Clerk of Superior Court, the courthouse public terminal, or the correct government office.
